Beware What You Wave

The vast majority of Americans are true red white and blue patriots, good people, American apple pie people, who look at the Gadsden Flag as a piece of pure patriotic Americana which they hold sacred.

But in recent years, there has been a shift and unless you are in the US Navy and you have the right to display the Gadsden Flag within your service to your country,  you might want to re-think the display of this flag on your property or in your wardrobe.

It is sad to say:  that to brandish the Gadsden Flag for political or patriotic purposes, especially in your neighborhoods or cities across the U.S,  you will now be labeled a far-right-militia-minded sympathizer and probably take a heap of hateful rhetoric from individuals around you. If not, you perhaps are living in an area of like minded people and this is the alarming message which prompted me to write this piece.

Unfortunately, the first amendment has afforded the right to many Americans who have alternative views and plans from the majority of American's, which is to hi-jack the Gadsden Flag for their own nefarious agenda. These things will happen within a free society.

Just as a select group cartoon characters, songs, comedic routines, and fairy tales found their way into our homes when we were children, we have witnessed their excommunication from our lives on the grounds of bigotry, racism, xenophobia, homophobia, sexism and more.

There are things we have loved that for one reason or another, can no longer be with us, due to a select group of people who have hi-jacked symbols of sincere, pure and innocent patriotism and have given them a nefarious representation for their own needs.

We are living the results of the 244 year experiment entitled: Freedom within a Democracy. Freedom that was bestowed upon us by idealistic men who surely pondered what good or what bad will come from this gift .  They entrusted us with the fact that intellectualism, ethical responsibility and judicial clarity would keep "these truths to be self-evident."

A 'civil honor code' you might call it.  In search within the ethical and moral cause and effect of the First Amendment, there lies a complex measure of mystery between the words inside the intent.  In, there is the mandate of honor, humility, courtesy and compassion outside the words and beyond the grammar.

There lies, the unbending, unyielding, obstinate, intractable and obdurate, that enables a particular demographic of citizen to utilize the gift of Freedom for reasons so radically contrary to any ethical and moral human consideration_

It makes you wonder... did the fathers of the Constitution not foresee this inevitability?..  that for every privilege bestowed upon one there will be another who will utilize the same privilege for their evil deeds

So where do we draw the line?  Where will we understand that ones 'Freedom' does not provide one the agency to deny the existence of a natural law.  A rule of law between every human being on earth since the beginning of modern civilization. Anthropologists will tell you that a form of Natural Law was in play in earnest, long before the first recorded form of organized religion or government.

No written allowance of 'Freedoms' can or will ever supersede the sanctity or the jurisdiction of the Natural Law of this world, which all human's before our time embraced to prevent the destruction of their society and the elimination of their civilization on earth.

Just as it offends many to watch someone kneel during the national anthem, unfortunately, people have the right to do just that.  The Gadsden Flag, this emblem of patriotism has become a highly volatile emblem contrary to what it originally represented.

Most right-wing-nationalist-militias have secured this symbol from the patriots who see this flag in a whole different light.

So very sad indeed.

It is the collective obligation of humankind to ensure the peace and to embolden ethical and moral deeds which protect the worlds civilizations from the darkness. Unim Orbus Unim Veritas
