WE HAVE BEEN HERE BEFORE

 
 
Some of my best friends and I have lived this, marched in this, wrote songs about this, protested in city halls and universities about this 50 years ago. 
 
I am so very disappointed that nothing, absolutely nothing we attempted to create within our Counter Culture movement succeeded in creating a lasting enlightenment of consciousness for the people in this country. 
 
In my world, I was proud to stand on the shoulders of my creative and enlightened mentors such as Dylan, Lennon, Baez and scores of other musicians who took a stand and lifted up the moral compass and took their hits from the bigots and haters while alienating themselves from half of their fans who refused to learn, grow and rise up into the same enlightenment. 
 
With this being said,  I am calling out my musician friends, my film maker friends my fellow poets and social activist friends to rise up and pull your heads out of the sand! 
 
Stop worrying about whether your downloads might suffer your concert attendance drop or that some redneck might say something on your Facebook Fan page.  
 
Rise up and stand .... or do we settle for the label the Counter Culture was left with 40 years ago? ..."Stoners, Commies and Whiners"...    
 
SAY Something ... be brave... return to your youths' idealism

My fellow Artists__ Let Your Art Be The Change You Want The World To Be

I appeal to my fellow Artists around the world on this New Years Eve 2022_   I challenge all of you to 'Be The Change' to 'Inspire Change' to promote Love, Humanity and Compassion and to join our inherent 'Collective Obligation' as artists to serve all in need upon this earth_  We are the progressives, the liberal idealistic minds that inspire advocacy and change, propelling humankind's ascension to a more sophisticated truth, justice and morality__ With this, I challenge my Artistic colleagues to abandon the mediums that reflect the darkness without solutions.   For too long, we have been Interpreting the ugly without offering answers, imitating the immoral without offering truth, we sensationalize the murderous which only propels further prejudice, hate and tribalism that you we have had to live through for so long. Does It Matter What You Vote For When Amoral Politicians Represent A Broken System?

Does it matter what you vote for when Amoral Politicians represent a Government in Paralysis?       All reason and deduction of a human's critical-thinking-process is created by the template of an individuals virtue, morals, ethics and their interpretation of Natural Law, Common Law and the Collective Obligations to ones existence within a civilization.  Insert an individual who lacks any of the aforementioned templates that control our every thought and movement in life into a Governmental system that has been paralyzed by tribalistic feuds, and you soon realize, there is an insanity to the notion of continuing to Vote for a broken system which contains, by majority, individuals who are absent in heart, mind and soul.  If you vote for the issues instead of the morals and ethics of the politicians who grift you,  nothing you hope for will ever come to fruition.   For the majority of the political base you thought you understood, vacated the American Political System many years ago
